Former President Donald Trump stunned onlookers Thursday when he refused to yank his endorsement of a MAGA Republican linked to porn site commentary expressing appreciation of slavery and Nazis.

Trump fielded questions from reporters in New York City — not in Palm Beach, where his neighbors are under multiple tropical storm and hurricane warnings — who asked his views on the damning CNN report about North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

"Are you going to pull your endorsement of Mark Robinson?" asked Libbey Dean of News Nation.

"I don't know the situation," Trump replied.

The situation is that CNN last week reported Robinson, the Trump-endorsed Republican gubernatorial nominee in the upcoming election, wrote on the site Nude Africa that he was a "black NAZI" who wished slavery would come back so he could "buy a few."

"Some people need to be slaves," Robinson reportedly wrote.

Robinson has denied the claims and vowed to "come after" CNN even as staff flee both his gubernatorial campaign and the lieutenant governor's office .

Trump's comment that he didn't know — which echoes his disclaimer about the notorious policy portfolio Project 2025 developed by many of his former staffers — stunned listeners.

"How did he know there was a situation to not know about," asked Democratic strategist Keith Edwards .

"Extreme birds of a feather," quipped White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates .

"Trump has visited North Carolina twice since CNN’s reporting was made public," noted Democratic super PAC American Bridge 21st Century .

"WOW!" wrote liberal influencer Harry Sisson . "Trump is standing by him!"

Vice President Kamala Harris' shared video of the interaction with her 1.3 million followers on X.

"Trump says he is still endorsing Mark Robinson," the campaign wrote, "who said he is a 'Nazi' and called for 'bringing back' slavery."
