Panelists on Fox Business aren't the only people trying to tamp down the good news about employment in the United States.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) on Friday claimed that we should ignore the topline number of 254,000 net jobs created last month on the grounds that all of them were supposedly taken by undocumented immigrants.

"Kamala Harris's economy has been an unmitigated disaster for American citizens," Vance claimed on Twitter. "This is what happens when you bring in 20M+ low-wage workers through the wide open southern border. The American people get screwed while Kamala's corporate benefactors enjoy unlimited cheap labor."

Vance then cited data showing that there are currently 825,000 fewer native-born Americans employed this year than were employed last year to back up his claims.

But as University of Michigan economist Justin Wolfers wrote, Vance's claims about immigrants taking Americans' jobs don't add up, as many of the "lost" jobs by native-born Americans came from aging Baby Boomers deciding to retire.

In fact, noted Wolfers, when you look at employment data for native-born Americans in their prime working years, the economy looks to be very strong.

"Senator, I don't want to get caught up on facts, but the share of American-born folks in their prime working years who have jobs is higher than at any point during the Trump administration, and indeed, it's the highest it's ever been since the BLS started publishing these numbers," Wolfers wrote in his response to Vance .

In addition to showing that the economy added more than 250,000 jobs over the last month, the Friday jobs report also showed wages grew at 4 percent, easily outpacing the 2.5 percent rate of inflation.

Vance just can’t stop stepping up to his neck in “pet” shit! He can’t get his facts right because he’s regurgitating Trumps stupid narrative about immigrants! Vance is supposed to be a Harvard grad but he sounds like he can’t read and research the true facts! Vance has totally evolved into a deranged maga mutant! Check yourself before you look really stupid!
