Mike Lindell ad featuring neo-Nazi dog whistle airs on Fox News: report

Fox News on Thursday aired a MyPillow ad in which Mike Lindell uses a phrase the Anti-Defamation League warns is a dog whistle to neo-Nazis and white supremacists, a new report shows.

Justin Baragona , a media columnist for Zeteo News and a former Daily Beast reporter, shared video of Lindell promising slashed MyPillow prices of $14.88 — a numerical symbol linked to terrorist David Lane and Adolf Hitler.

"Mike Lindell is still running TV commercials showing the sale price as $14.88 -- a number associated with neo-Nazis and white supremacists," wrote Baragona. "This was just aired on Fox News this afternoon."

The MyPillow CEO denied he referenced the symbol in September in a comment to the New York Post , which noted Lindell did not immediately change the price.

"Lindell, however, vehemently denied the allegations when reached by The Post on Monday — while happily still sharing the ad online, without adjustment or clarification," the Post reported.

“I have no idea what this is all about,” Lindell maintained, adding that the 88 cents is simply a price point often used by companies like Walmart."

The number 14 is shorthand for Lane's " 14 Words " slogan: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children," according to the ADL.

The number 88 stands for "Heil Hitler" as H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, the ADL reports.

"They are ubiquitous within the white supremacist movement - as graffiti, in graphics and tattoos, even in screen names and e-mail addresses," an explainer reads. "Some white supremacists will even price racist merchandise, such as t-shirts or compact discs, for $14.88."

Raw Story found the price remained on the MyPillow website Thursday, along with other merchandise priced at $9.88, $18.88, $19.88 and $29.88.

Craig Harrington, research director for progressive watchdog group Media Matters for America, earlier this month expressed surprise that Lindell continued to vocalize the problematic symbol.

"I also can't believe you keep saying this number out loud, Mike Lindell," he wrote .

Lindell rose to notoriety in the wake of the 2020 presidential election for spreading conspiracy theories supporting the false claim that former President Donald Trump had won.

When late night host Jimmy Kimmel invited Lindell onto his show in 2021, he received a stern reprimand from the political watchdog group Common Cause.

“Lindell’s work in pushing election disinformation has already had significant consequences for our nation, including the violent insurrection on Jan.6 at the U.S. Capitol," the letter stated. "Lindell’s debunked conspiracy theories are also rooted in racism and white supremacy.

"The disinformation he is trying to sell is part of a larger narrative that essentially wants to throw out millions of votes from cities where people of color make up a majority or significant portion of the voting population."
