Donald Trump cooked up a "pressure" campaign for a special election that he hoped would reinstate himself as president six whole months after Joe Biden took office, according to details purportedly from famed Watergate reporter Bob Woodward's book.

Foreign policy reporter Laura Rozen dropped the report on social media, making this the most recent news stemming from Woodward's upcoming book. Woodward gathered material for the forthcoming publication "War" in hundreds of interviews , and CNN reports that the book claims that Trump "secretly sent Putin a bunch of Abbott Point of Care Covid test machines for his personal use."

The newest reported revelation involves Trump and a former GOP lawmaker, Mo Brooks.

According to Rozen, "In June 2021, Six months into Biden’s term, Trump pressured Mo Brooks to call for a special election to reinstate Trump as president, according to Woodward’s new book."

"Brooks refused, leading to their split," Rozen added on X Sunday.

Rozen included an image of a page reportedly from "War." The page reads, "In June 2021, the former president pushed Republicans to support reinstating him as president. He told his aides he would move back into the White House by August, a date QAnon conspiracy theorists latched on to in online forums."
