Former President Donald Trump cut off answering any more questions abruptly at his town hall event in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Monday — saying, "Let's not do any more questions. Let's just listen to music. Who the hell wants to hear questions?"

Trump then proceeded to spend several minutes doing nothing, while several different songs blared out over the crowd, taking no further questions and seemingly leaving even his own surrogate, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) confused and unsure what to do.

Sarah Longwell, a former GOP consultant who now heads up the Republican Accountability Project, barely made sense of what was happening.

"After multiple people passed out at this Trump Townhall, instead of taking questions, he just played the following songs while standing and swaying on stage: Ave Maria; Time To Say Goodbye; It's A Man's World; YMCA; Hallelujah; Nothing Compares 2 U; An American Trilogy; Rich Men North of Richmond; November Rain; Memory from Cats," she posted to X.

Nor were these Trump's only selections, as some other commenters noted: "Wait, Trump is playing 'Dixie' in PENNSYLVANIA of all places?" wrote Eric Michael Garcia of The Independent.

Sean Colarossi, a former writer at the progressive site PoliticusUSA, had a simple assessment of the whole thing: "Music night at the senior center."

Trump, who has faced intense scrutiny over his advanced age and cognitive fitness ever since President Joe Biden was compelled to end his re-election bid , has a number of final campaign events planned in the remaining weeks, including a large rally to be hosted in New York City's Madison Square Garden .
