'So different': Trump reacts after bizarre town hall dance party

Former President Donald Trump pushed back on confusion over a bizarre musical interlude at his town hall event in Pennsylvania Monday, posting to his Truth Social platform that everything went exactly the way he wanted it to go.

"I had a Town Hall in Pennsylvania last night. It was amazing!" wrote Trump Tuesday. "The Q and A was almost finished when people began fainting from the excitement and heat. We started playing music while we waited, and just kept it going. So different, but it ended up being a GREAT EVENING!"

Trump only took a small number of questions at the event before medical incidents occurred. Fainting is common at Trump rallies due to frequently hot conditions, standing audiences and the fact that several people attending are elderly.

Usually it's a brief pause while paramedics deal with it. At this town hall, Trump spent the next half hour swaying onstage while a series of his favorite campaign songs played, leaving his surrogate, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) awkwardly unsure of what to do.

In addition to garnering a lot of attention on social media, Trump's prolonged music break stunned commenters on cable news as he danced to music ranging from the Village People to Sinead O'Connor and Pavarotti.

All of this comes as the former president has faced questions about his mental acuity and fitness to continue a hard campaign, similar to the concerns about President Joe Biden that ultimately led him to end his campaign for a second term and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in his place.

Trump has defiantly insisted he is not suffering from cognitive decline and bragged several times that he "aced" a test designed to screen for cognitive decline.
