'See what they did?!' MSNBC host stunned as Fox News plays 'selectively edited' Trump clip

MSNBC host Chris Hayes shredded Fox News host Bret Baier on Wednesday night for playing a “selectively edited clip” of former President Donald Trump during his interview with Kamala Harris – which the vice president and social media users also criticized.
“Breit Baier came at Kamala Harris with every attack in the Trump playbook, including one moment where he got caught using an edited sound bite of Trump,” Hayes said as he began his show “All In” just hours after Harris’ first formal interview with Fox News aired as a “special report” on the network.
Hayes then played for viewers a clip of the Democratic nominee talking about Trump’s “enemy from within” comments during her interview , which prompted Baier to play a clip of Trump that wasn’t exactly what he set it up to be.
Harris immediately pushed back, saying “That clip was not what he has been saying about the 'enemy within' that he has repeated when he is speaking about the American people. That’s not what you just showed.”
Hayes used the opening segment of his show to pounce on the moment.
“Baier just used a soundbite to try to clear Donald Trump of saying a thing in which he cut out the part where he says it. Watch,” Hayes said as he played more of the clip.
“Do you see what they did there? On their own network. We also – we have recording equipment here at 30 Rock, and a lot of other places where we can just grab that. So, he said, he repeated – ‘they are the enemy within, they are sick people, they’re evil,’ – he repeated it. And then Bret Baier is like, ‘Let me play you what he said today,’ he just cut out the big chunk,” Hayes said with a laugh.
He went on to tell viewers that the “selectively edited clip” of Trump is part of “the same playbook we see over and over from Fox.”
“And Kamala Harris called them out,” Hayes added. “She wasn’t about to let Fox get away with it. I think we all know that after this Donald Trump has no choice but to come on MSNBC for an interview.
Hayes' clip made the rounds on social media, with Harris supporters blasting the network.
”They literally cut out the part where he said what she accused him of saying! Putin is over there nodding and smiling," On Democracy podcast host Fred Wellman wrote on X.
"Don't worry. Hugh Hewitt and Mark Levin and all the Very Smart and Honorable Twitter Billionaires will raise holy hell and demand that Fox explain that edit," wrote S.V. Dáte, White House correspondent at the Huffington Post.
