Former President Donald Trump's opponents pounced on Thursday after it was revealed that he'd backed out of yet another mainstream media interview.

CNN's Brian Stelter reports that Trump canceled a planned interview with NBC News, which came after he similarly backed out of interviews with CNBC and CBS News' "60 Minutes."

Given that this is now the third mainstream media interview that Trump has canceled in less than a month, the former president's critics were quick to slam him for being scared of scrutiny.

"Trump cancelled on 60 Minutes, is refusing a second debate, and is hiding his medical records," wrote Vice President Kamala Harris director of rapid response Ammar Moussa . "What's going on?"

Film producer Steven Hullfish drew an immediate contrast between Trump fleeing potentially hostile questioning and Harris being willing to go on Fox News.

"Harris sits for a hostile interview with a dude on Fox, but Trump can’t handle a woman reporter on NBC? Which Presidential hopeful is supposed to be weak?" he asked. "Donald Trump seems to be off his game. Maybe his team is worried about the dementia being evident."

Filmmaker and podcaster Andy Ostroy made a similar observation.

"Fact: VP Kamala Harris proved she's tough as nails and not afraid to give interviews even in the most unfriendly network like Fox," he argued . "Fact: Trump is a weak, feckless coward who's now cancelled the 2nd debate and interviews with 60 Minutes, CNBC and NBC."

Progressive commentator and columnist Molly Jong-Fast simply wrote , "This seems very weak of Trump."

I think it was trump who decided this, but I also think his staff also talked him out of it, they know that he can botch things up, and nobody can correct him, he knows everything, he's a walking talking Encyclopedia and a Dictionary
