'He's in hiding': The View says Trump's actions show he's 'scared' to do hard interviews

After a series of rallies, town halls and interviews, Donald Trump's campaign is dropping out of a number of speaking engagements, including withdrawing his speech to the friendly National Rifle Association audience.

The co-hosts of "The View" think that it's all out of fear.

Sunny Hostin said that this is the main reason that Kamala Harris appeared on Fox News Wednesday. She knocked host Bret Baier, harkening back to an email that he sent in 2020 telling Fox that they should withdraw calling Arizona on election day because it was angering their audience.

"I have a very different opinion of Bret Baier after not only watching what he did on the clip but then connecting it to his real history ," said Hostin.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House communications director for Trump, said that Baier interrupted Harris too much, which her colleague Sara Haines agreed with.

"The constant jumping in, I couldn't help but feel she's a woman, so it got hard to watch at times," said Haines.

She also pointed out Trump has been "canceling interviews."

    "He's scared," said Joy Behar.

    "He's in hiding," agreed Hostin.

But it was Ana Navarro who called out Donald Trump for refusing to take part in tough interviews.

"I remember when Donald Trump stomped out of a '60 Minutes' interview four years ago because now, as you just said, he refuses to do it. Took off his mic and stomped out on Lesley Stahl," said Navarro.

She also recalled the moment early on in Trump's campaign when he threw Jorge Ramos out of a press conference because the question he asked was tough. CNN's Jim Acosta was also thrown out of the White House for tough questions.

"Kamala Harris went there, sat there, answered the questions about relevant things," said Navarro. "I mean, she could have said, you know what, Bret, tell you what, why don't we just play music for 39 minutes?"

Navarro went on to say that Harris also made it through the Fox interview without mentioning Hannibal Lecter or windmills.
