Wyoming Faces Monsoon Moisture and Fire Warnings: Cheyenne Braces for Extreme Weather
Cheyenne, WY – Residents of Cheyenne should prepare for a weekend of extreme weather as monsoon moisture and fire risks converge. According to the US National Weather Service in Cheyenne, monsoon moisture will return briefly on Friday and Saturday, bringing scattered to numerous storms during the afternoon and evening. These storms are expected to produce torrential rains, leading to potential flooding concerns on both days.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Street vendors took to the Cheyenne Depot Plaza and 15th Street on Wednesday for the city’s annual block party. Games and attractions proliferated the street through much of the day. The Wyoming Dairy Goat Association held a makeshift petting zoo consisting of dairy goats, Colorado mountain dogs and chickens. In addition, kids lined up to climb a rock climbing wall, ride a mechanical bull or dunk one another at a water tank game.
Brewers Gear up for Riverfest to Support Expansion of Community Trails in Casper
The 32nd annual Riverffest is happening August 10 in Casper at Crossroads Park. The event is FREE, but for unlimited sips of beer you must purchase a ticket. This year's event welcomes local and regional breweries like Melvin and Wind River Brewing, and Casper-area distributors bringing samples of craft beer to tickle your tastebuds.

Construction underway at former Ranch Inn site
JACKSON, Wyo. — For those wondering why there’s a pile of rubble where the Ranch Inn used to be, a mixed-use condominium and retail building is going up in its place. Construction is underway at the 1.2-acre parcel on Pearl Avenue that includes the addresses of 50 S Cache St and 45 and 75 E Pearl Ave. Three buildings on the block have been demolished, including the Ranch Inn Hotel, the Ranch shops retail building at the corner of Cache and Pearl and the Under the Willow art gallery, which was adjacent to the alley on the block along Cache.

Jail deputies find over 1,000 fentanyl pills strapped to suspect’s leg
CASPER, Wyo. — State drug enforcement agents say a suspected distributor had over 1,000 fentanyl pills attached to his leg when he was booked into jail on Monday. Taylor Cole Few, 32, was arrested Monday, July 22 after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper pulled him over near Casper. Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations agents said Few became a person of interest after separate distribution investigations conducted in the last year.
