Caesars Indiana Shooter Sentenced to 45 Years in Prison
A man from Louisville, Kentucky, who pleaded guilty to the murder of a hip-hop artist at a southern Indiana casino, was recently sentenced to more than four decades in prison. Family to leave $15 million to Norton Children’s Hopsital
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A local family is giving $15 million to Norton Children’s Hospital to honor their daughter and the care she received. Norton Children’s says Meadow EmmaLou Boes was diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia before she was born. The congenital condition changes the way blood flows to the lungs and through the heart. Several surgeries and hospital stays later, Meadow is an active, happy 2-year-old.
Driver charged in Spencer Co. crash that killed motorcyclist
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Kentucky State Police have arrested a Nelson County woman in connection with a deadly crash that killed a Jefferson County man. According to the KSP Frankfort post, the crash happened around 5:10 p.m. July 21 on U.S. 150 and Old Louisville Road in Spencer County.

Man killed in early morning Russell neighborhood shooting identified
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The name is now known of the man killed in a shooting in west Louisville from earlier this month. Louisville Metro police officers were called on Wednesday, July 10 just after 3:15 a.m. to the 2600 block of West Chestnut Street in the Russell neighborhood. That’s where they found a man who had been shot.
LMPD says 2 people taken to hospital after shooting outside Old Louisville business
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A local man, who works to prevent violence in the city, became a witness to a double shooting outside an Old Louisville business Monday morning. Marcus Poyntz is the supervisor at Cure Violence Program YouthBuild. He was sitting at a stop light across the street when gunshots were fired. He told WAVE News he looked to his left and saw a man coming out of the store with a gun, shooting at a car in the parking lot.
