According to the True Crime News, a man named Thomas Kinworthy, aged 47, has been given a life sentence in prison without any chance of release for shooting and killing St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Tamarris Bohannon in August 2020. This decision was made by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office on June 27, after a jury found Thomas Kinworthy guilty of murder, armed criminal action, and assault in May. Thomas Kinworthy, who had previously skipped bail in Florida, also shot Officer Arlando Bailey and injured a homeless man named Mark Smith, who later died from unrelated causes. The incident led to a 12-hour police standoff before Thomas Kinworthy was eventually captured by the SWAT team.
