CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — A Battle Creek firefighter passed out Wednesday, July 31, while searching for potential victims in a house fire. As crowds shrink and costs rise, Jackson County Fair organizers get creative
JACKSON, MI – New attractions are coming to the Jackson County Fair in 2024 in an ongoing effort by officials to reverse a trend of declining attendance and revenue. Jackson County Fair attendance has seen a steady decline in recent years, according to figures obtained by MLive/Jackson Citizen Patriot through a Freedom of Information Act request. Attendance peaked at 209,944 in 2021 after the COVID-19 pandemic but dropped to 152,843 in 2022 and 138,087 last year, the numbers show.

Tiny home residents outside Ann Arbor ordered to clear out
