LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Multiple fire crews are on the scene of a house fire in Ephrata, dispatchers confirm. First reports of the fire were received around 3:00 p.m. Crews were dispatched to the 300 block of Church Ave with Ephrata Fire Department as the primary responding agency.

Philadelphia 'wild west gun battle' leaves 3 dead, 6 injured in block party mass shooting
A shooting during a Philadelphia block party has left three dead and six injured, including a 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old man who were found dead at the scene. A third, 29-year-old man was pronounced dead an hour later at the hospital after he was shot in the stomach. Police say that the last man may have been targetted, as he was shot at point-blank range at the party.

BETHEL TWP. | The Riverton-Belvidere bridge’s pedestrian walkway is scheduled to shut down Monday so needed repairs can be made to bulging masonry wing walls on the structure’s Pennsylvania side, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said. “Once started, the walkway closure is estimated to remain in place without interruption for up to 35 days,” the DRJTBC said in a news release. “Weather permitting, that means pedestrian access could be restored by Aug. 25.” The two-lane bridge connecting Northampton and Warren counties across the Delaware River is expected to remain open to motor-vehicle traffic while the repairs are made.
