Monroe County Community on High Alert as Sheriff's Office Investigates Two Assaults on Women
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating two assaults on women reported to have taken place in Monroe Township. As detailed by The Detroit News, the first of these incidents occurred in the early hours on Monday in Waterloo Park, while the second took place on Wednesday night in a wooded area along Frenchcreek in the Meadowbrook Mobile Home Community. Both assaults have drawn concern from local authorities and the community alike.
Upcoming! July Brings New Opportunities: Target Announces Upcoming Store Openings
WFCN – On July 21, mass retailer Target Corp. will launch three new locations in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, expanding its network of over 2,000 stores. Target plans to open a shop in Lomita, California. This will be the company’s 318th outlet in California and its 127th in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim area. The Lomita store, which will employ about 70 people, is about 33,000 square feet and is located at 2130 Pacific Coast Highway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Union County Youth Attend Rutgers 4-H Stem Ambassador Program
The Union County Board of County Commissioners congratulates seven Union County high school students from the Union County 4-H Program for participating in this year’s Rutgers 4-H STEM Ambassador Program. The event was held at Rutgers University in New Brunswick from July 8th through July 12th.
