These Leakproof Storage Containers Are My Go-To for Leftovers, and They’re Just $7

I use them for pasta, stir-fry, rice, and more.
Nothing makes me happier than leftovers. In fact, some things just taste better on the second day like soup and pasta. As someone who purposefully makes extra food to have a next-day lunch, I know how important proper leftover storage is, and my secret weapon is a $7 food storage container from Walmart.
The Snapware Total Solution Glass Food Storage Container is my go-to no matter what type of leftovers I have. Not only is it made from the same glass as Pyrex dishes, so it’s practically unbreakable, but it’s also microwave-, freezer-, and dishwasher-safe, leakproof, and the perfect size.

The food storage container’s design is part of what makes it a great choice for leftovers. The bowl is Pyrex glass, and if you used Pyrex before, you know that they’re practically unbreakable. While I don’t recommend purposefully dropping your leftovers, if you’re carrying them to your desk, or they’re in your bag and an accident happens, it’s unlikely to crack. Plus, the glass is tempered, so you can move it right from the fridge and into the microwave without shattering—just remove the lid first.
Speaking of the lid, it’s my favorite feature. Unlike a traditional design that slides on top of a bowl, this one has four latch closures that snap into place to create a leakproof lock. In fact, you can turn the whole thing upside down, and nothing will spill. That’s because in addition to the latches, there’s a seal built into the lid. It suctions into place to create an airtight closure that keeps food ultra-fresh, prevents odors from leaking in or out, and also means it won’t leak, even if you carry it to the office. In fact, I’ve traveled with leftover soup in the container and never found any drops in my bag.
The Snapware food storage container is also the ideal size for leftover portions. It holds roughly four cups of food, and I can fit at least two portions of pasta, casserole, soup, chili, and stir-fry inside. Plus, it fits perfectly into a lunch bag without taking up too much space, and if you need to use more than one to keep food fresh, they’re stackable and won’t waste fridge space.
