I'm a Beauty Product-Obsessed Shopping Writer, and These Early Prime Day Deals Shouldn’t Be Ignored

Stellar discounts from brands like Clinique, Kitsch, Cosrx, Olay, and more.
As a shopping writer, it's literally my job to dig through every corner of Amazon to find the best deals —it also helps that I absolutely hate paying full price for anything. That's why I wait for events like Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days to fill up my shopping cart. The sale is officially kicking off on Tuesday, October 8, but you can get a head start thanks to plenty of early deals.
This year, my focus is on beauty. I've had my eye on a couple of new items, but I also have a few favorites that I'm looking forward to restocking at a fraction of the price. Think: lipstick, cleansers, sunscreen, and more. These are the top Amazon beauty deals that I'm adding to my cart ahead of October Prime Day.
This will be my third repurchase of this iconic lipstick—I've been using it for years. When in doubt, I wear this for a subtle wash of color. The Black Honey is a universally flattering shade that typically goes with most of my makeup looks. Even better, it feels like a lip balm, and it will never go out of style.
Cosrx Snail Mucin Repairing Essence
$25
$17
I've always been curious about this formula, which many of my friends have recommended. The cooler months are my favorite, but they also wreak havoc on my already dry skin. This essence is packed with ultra-hydrating snail secretion filtrate , hyaluronic acid, and allantoin, a combination that should help lock in moisture and leave a glow. This has been on my wishlist for a while, so now's the perfect time to add it to my cart while it's down to $17.
Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil
$20
$18
I don't go anywhere without this cleansing oil. Seriously, I always have a travel size and full size of this at all times. I use this as part of my double-cleansing routine to help break down makeup and SPF before using any kind of cleanser. It's a very mild formula, but it gets the job done. With this elixir, I can degunk my enormous pores without trying too hard. So, yes, I'll be stocking up on this while it's on sale.
Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum
$20
$16
I jumped on the Cocokind bandwagon late, but better late than never. After I heard a podcast featuring its founder, Priscilla Tsai, I was finally convinced to try it out myself. My skin can get rough and dry after testing new products, so I was searching for a gentle and soothing formula to alleviate the irritation. I turn to this serum whenever I feel like my skin needs a break. I can't believe such an affordable formula includes so many nourishing ingredients like squalane, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides.
Olay Super Serum
$35
$30
I put my love for this serum in writing , and it's still going strong. I honestly can't sing enough praises for this baby. This little bottle is jam-packed with many of my favorite skincare ingredients, starting with niacinamide that helps brighten and strengthen skin. It applies smoothly and leaves behind a subtle sheen that makes my skin look healthier.
Kitsch Satin Hair Scrunchies
$12
$8
I've been forgoing styling my hair lately; I'll either throw it into a chunky braid or a low ponytail, but I swear if you even look at my hair the wrong way, I'll get a split end. In the same way that silk pillowcases are a gentler alternative for your hair, so are satin scrunchies. These hold my 'dos in place, yet I don't have to struggle or pull to unleash my mane. The only downside is that I always lose them, and I'm currently on my last two, so it's time to grab a new pack.
L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Satin Lipstick
$10
$5
The satin finish of L'Oreal's Colour Riche line falls perfectly between glossy and matte, and they come in a rainbow of wearable, opaque colors that feel comfortable on my dry lips. This is probably my favorite drugstore lipstick formula, therefore, when I want to try out a wildly new shade, like, say, this medium berry. This collection is my first stop, and at $5, I'll be picking up a few other pretty hues.
Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer
$17
$12
I have so many designer and high-end bronzers in my collection, but I've got to replenish my go-to Physicians Formula one. Anytime I'm stuck choosing between a contour or bronzer, I grab this. It's got such a sweet scent, but the color payoff and satin finish are what I love most about this iconic best-seller .
Grace & Stella Under Eye Mask
$35
$20
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd actually finish a pack of eye masks, that is, until I got my hands on Grace & Stella's gold formula. I'd love to attribute its success to magic, but the winning combo of hyaluronic acid, glycerin, sea moss, and amino acids is the key to smoothing and moisturizing. And since they come in little individual packs, they're perfect to travel with .
Bliss Block Star Tinted Sunscreen
$25
$16
Not only does this SPF feel good on my skin without leaving a white cast, but it's also loaded with skincare ingredients like rosa conina fruit oil and antioxidants. This never feels greasy or heavy, and I just finished a tube, so it's on my immediate restock list.
