Margaret Josephs deserves an encore performance after her dramatic delivery throughout Season 14. There’s no way to sugarcoat that Marge is a villain. But she’s a classic housewife in how she plays it.

Margaret Josephs exposes Jackie Goldschneider’s “slob” text message to Dolores Catania

Spielberg couldn’t have written this scene any better if he tried. Just seconds before Jackie Goldschneider’s interaction with Dolores Catania , Marge was telling Jackie what a good and supportive friend she’d always been. Jackie doesn’t see it that way and feels Marge has insinuated that all her success has come from her. As the conversation ends with Jackie walking away, Marge doesn’t miss a chance to call her a “real douche.” All of Marge’s breathing techniques to stay calm have failed, causing her to spiral out of control.

As she sees Jacs talking to Dolores, she orders a hit in the form of a screenshot. Now, I love it when things start getting messy, and for Marge, it’s all about winning. As Dolo is confronting Jackie about not being tagged in a baseball photo, Marge takes the opportunity to send a private text that shows the lawyer talking badly about the muscle of Jersey. As she slides her readers on, Dolores immediately interrupts Jackie mid-conversation to ask, “I’m a slob?” Marge was left satisfied as she watched her former friend try to worm her way out of the mess she had made.

Margaret has a flair for the dramatic, and I must admit she does it well. For years, literal years, Teresa Giudice has believed that Marge had talked to one of Luis Ruelas ’ exes. The OG believed that Margaret had met with the ex to expose Luis and Teresa based on the information she was given. After a year of trial hell, Tre thought it was a good idea to have her lawyer, James Leonard, explain why Margaret was subpoenaed to the ladies. Tre told the ladies, “This part will make your f*cking head spin.”

I’ll be honest: as a viewer, my head wasn’t spinning. It wasn’t a shock that Marge had been feeding the ex information. Marge was the Hermes of RHONJ. But if we are calling a spade a spade it wasn’t different from Jennifer Aydin and Tre befriending Laura (Marge’s ex-BFF) or Luis hiring a private investigator. However, what made my head spin was Margaret sending a flower arrangement to her own burn session. The card was a classic, “With deepest sympathy, Sorry for the loss of your dignity. Love, love, love, Margaret.” Obviously Tre hate, hate, hated this arrangement.

One thing that makes Margaret an amazing villain is her overloaded arsenal. Jackie was finally outed for speaking with Luis’s ex, even though Marge had been the one taking the blame for years. The coup de grace was the realization that Jackie had leaked Luis’ warrior video. Jackie tried to save face for about 2.5 seconds until saying, “Listen, it was February of 2021. That season opened with me and Teresa at odds. And the whole world was weighing in on whether or not my husband was cheating on me. Teresa and Jennifer were calling people, trying to get information on my husband, trying to get pictures of women, and here comes this woman saying, ‘Hey, I got something for you to put in your pocket.’”

Margaret never ever misses when she takes a shot. While the Rails dining room was going crazy, Marge noted, “You subpoenaed the wrong b*tch.” And there was Tre, looking like a deer in the headlights. As the women fought around her and as Jackie pleaded her case, the OG saw her reality TV life flash before her eyes as she realized she had been blinded by her hate for Margaret. I would say that is check and mate to possibly the greatest villain the Real Housewives of New Jersey has ever seen.
