As you know, the Feds slapped Julie and Todd Chrisley with a combined 19 years in prison. It’s a small price to pay for a little bit of fraud and tax evasion. However, after a stroke of luck, Julie’s sentence is likely going to be significantly reduced .

When that news arrived, Julie and her lawyers asked the court for the hearing to happen via video conference. In Touch got all the details. and ultimately, Julie didn’t want to have to travel in a prisoner transport van.

According to court records, her lawyers argued to the judge that it would cause her “undue physical harm” if she had to travel from her jail cell in Kentucky to the courtroom in Georgia.

Obviously, a little bit of fresh air never hurt anyone, but according to Julie’s lawyer, the trip would be too rough for Julie because she’d have to sit in a van shackled for up to four hours. Oh, the horror!

The judge in the case wasn’t buying it. He reiterated that Julie the Inmate needs to get in the van and come to court just like any other prisoner would. Her court date is September 25, 2024, at 10 am in Atlanta. Julie will be there, accessorized with her shackles.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON JULIE TRYING TO ATTEND HER HEARING REMOTELY? DO YOU THINK THE RESENTENCING IS GOING TO GO IN HER FAVOR?
