Sadly, another Bachelor Nation relationship has ended in heartbreak and divorce.

Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay has reached a deal with her estranged husband, Bryan Abasolo .

In an advance distribution of community property, Rachel agreed to transfer $43,648 to Bryan from their community estate. The funds are only part of the final settlement between the couple and the ultimate division of their joint property.

    Disentangling the finances

Per their agreement, Bryan will withdraw his previous request for a court hearing on the matter, as reported by In Touch . Rachel’s soon-to-be-ex first asked for the amount just days after being rewarded $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support. Bryan said he needed a total of $40,000 to pay his legal fees and a forensic accountant.

In his defense, Bryan claimed his income is currently only about $1300 a month. He said he sacrificed his career in order to help Rachel build hers. Welcome to the world of almost every married woman ever.

“I placed my career as a chiropractor on hold to move twice for Rachel’s career,” he said. “These moves were detrimental to my chiropractic business, while Rachel’s income and success as a media personality skyrocketed.”

He also claimed that his monthly expenses total $24,000, and he has had to borrow from his parents to cover his divorce fees.

“For six months, my attorneys have been asking Rachel for a reasonable contribution to my attorney’s fees and costs so that I can level the playing field,” Bryan told the court. “But she abjectly refuses. I am not able to use my forensic accountant, Anna Leh, because she will not work without being paid.”

    Separation of assets

“Rachel believes she has an exclusive right to access our community property funds to pay for her professionals,” he continued. “[She] also believes our community property home is all hers.”

Rachel’s attorney argued, “It is not so simple as cutting Bryan yet another check to quell his unending need for cash. Just as he could not expect never-ending funds from Rachel during their marriage, he cannot expect her to hand over every dollar he demands of her now.”

“Moreover, the community estate has been depleted, and there is nothing to give him,” her attorney added. “Rachel does not have the money required to fund Bryan’s incessant litigation.”

Despite initially fighting Bryan’s request, Rachel has agreed to turn over the funds.

After meeting on Season 13 of The Bachelorette in 2017, the couple got engaged on the season finale. They married in 2019 but split in December 2023. Bryan filed for divorce on January 1, 2024.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
