Not every season of a Real Housewives franchise is going to be easy. The ladies put in a lot of work to ensure that each episode is entertaining. Most moments are classic between falling into bushes drunk, yelling about a family van, or readjusting your wig on national TV. But occasionally, there is a housewife or two who just has a rough season. No matter what these particular housewives do, they can’t seem to change their destiny.

Just like every franchise has a fan-favorite, every series has a woman down on her luck. But it takes a special kind of Bravo personality to struggle continuously. Some deal with divorces, family feuds, or being picked on. But no matter what these women do, they always seem to be fighting to stay afloat. If it’s not one thing, it’s another, to which I say, ladies, pick a struggle.

Real Housewives of Orange County – Shannon Beador

The moment Shannon Beador joined the Real Housewives of Orange County , fans knew she wasn’t going to have it easy. At the time, the biggest issue for the mother of three was trying to figure out where to bury her crystals in her new home. Things quickly escalated as it became apparent that her husband, David Beador , was falling out of love with her. The early days of Shannon showed her intense entitlement and privilege. I hate to say it but she was a piece of work back then. The Real for Real founder was never going to get over David’s affair, and it felt like therapy was just a ruse. It was clear that David was repulsed by Shannon, which was sad.

The downfall fans will see in Season 18 will stop short of taking their breath away. This new season will show Shannon having to watch her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen , openly date her co-star, Alexis Bellino , in front of her. She will also have to address putting herself and her dog, Archie, in harm’s way during her DUI. To add insult to injury, none of her former friends on the show want anything to do with her. Shannon can’t catch a break.

Real Housewives of Miami – Alexia Nepola

The doll of the Real Housewives of Miami isn’t usually the peacekeeper. She is usually the one ruffling a few feathers. But be that as it may, she is still a fan favorite. However, this Cuban spitfire has not had the easiest career as a Real Housewife. Followers first met the mother of two when she was happily married to Herman Echevarria. The couple were married in 2004, but the union wasn’t all it seemed. When the series was rebooted, Alexia Nepola shared that Herman was gay but unable to come out before he passed away.

Alexia also had to deal with her son, Frankie, almost dying. At the time, Frankie was only 13 years old when he was involved in a car accident. Frankie suffered permanent brain damage. A few years later, her older son, Peter, was facing a mountain of legal troubles. And recently it was revealed that she and Todd Nepola were filing for divorce. Needless to say, the next season of the Real Housewives of Miami will definitely highlight Alexia’s issues.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Camille Grammer

Say what you want about Camille Grammer , but the lady has seen some things. The former dancer had an issue with thinking too highly of herself. And while she came across as arrogant, it made for some great TV. Camille liked to talk about her house in Hawaii and her marriage to actor Kelsey Grammer . But behind the scenes, everything was falling apart. I think Camille was probably being gaslit for years and grasping at whatever reality she could get a hold of.

In 2018, viewers of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills watched her Malibu home go up in flames. The devastating Woolsey wildfires claimed her mansion, and she found it hard to keep her emotions in check. However, perhaps the most challenging thing for Camille was the fact that from day one, she had been painted as the villain. She could never get out of the shadows of evil, but I’m sure the dinner party from hell didn’t help matters.
