Who Is New RHOSLC Star and ‘Friend’ Britani Bateman?

The snow is falling over the purple mountain majesty as fans were finally given the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 trailer. It had everything: drama, yelling, Lisa Barlow eating Wendy’s. And eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed there were a few new faces. With the exile of Monica Garcia, Bravo needed to find a suitable replacement for the Reality Von Tease troll. Thanks to Heather Gay, fans will meet a new friend, Britani Bateman , who is bound to shake the group up.

Britani Bateman is a triple threat

The Utah native can’t get enough of being in front of the camera. So the Bravoverse might be the perfect spot for her as all eyes will be on the newbie. According to the Season 5 press release, Britani is a “real estate developer, actress, and accoladed singer in an on-again, off-again relationship. Britani is introduced to the women through her friend, Heather, but bumps head with a few of the ladies from the jump.” The entertainer is an actor and singer who isn’t afraid to push buttons.

Britani has performed as Disney’s Belle on stage, modeled in Sacramento, and played even sang back up to multiple recording artists. According to her IMDB , Britani has also worked behind the scenes in the music department. She has a long list of credits, which also included playing Tori Spelling’s best friend in Mistle-Tones. But perhaps her most famous role to date was her role as Kelly Powers in The RM. Britani is a busy little bee as she has also shot 46 national commercials and worked as a voice actress.

Britani Bateman is a jack of all trades

Although Britani currently resides in Utah, she was raised in California. The California dreamer had her eyes set on Hollywood from a young age. Her bio hints that she has always been an artist at heart, with performing having deep roots within her family. When the newest RHOSLC star was young, she toured with her family in a “musical style review with her parents and four siblings.” Both her parents are accomplished musicians in their own right. But Britani is more than just a pretty face. After graduating high school in 1989, she went on to attend college. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

After graduation, Britani signed a recording deal with Disney to sing Part of Your World” and Celebrate the Magic of Disney.  The Walt Disney Company was so impressed with that that they then had her sign up where she recorded for their lipsync tracks. Britani lived in Japan during the 90s when the country was all about the Western look. So, it is no surprise to learn that Britani was signed as a commercial model. Perhaps one of the coolest gigs was when she got to be a principal dancer in a Japanese music video for the pop star Suzuki Masayuki. Britani is still working in the business and is preparing to release a Christmas album due in 2024.

Britani Bateman has her own business

Britani and her husband, John Scott Underwood, founded PURE Productions, a destination production company that focuses on global incentive trips. Britani and John have five children and work together in all their business ventures. John has been a builder and developer for the last 30 years. So, the man knows his way around a job site. Britani is also the co-founder/artistic director of the corporate party band Groove Merchants . The band has traveled all over the world and won eight awards. One thing is for sure: I would definitely want these performers at my event.

Britani isn’t highlighted a lot in the new trailer, so it is hard to figure out who she might butt heads with. I imagine Mary Cosby will give her a run for her money, especially if she bursts into song every chance she gets. I also can see Lisa rubbing her the wrong way if they try to duet on Away in a Manger. Fans will have to tune in to get a look at the new girl on the new season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. But one thing is for sure: Britani is ready to give the performance of a lifetime.
