The cameras went dark on Vanderpump Rules a long time ago. Each May, filming for this series typically picks back up. However, August is nearly over, and the cameras remain down. This move was intentional, as this divided cast needed several beats away from the bright lights and each other’s bullsh*t. But this break was starting to feel too long, so James Kennedy got tracked down to spin us an answer regarding the future of VPR.

On the future of Pump Rules, James Kennedy is clueless

TMZ is everywhere, doing the Lord’s work for reality television fans. Spotting a street-crossing James in their midst, one of their reporters approached our resident DJ, asking him to spill the tea on VPR Season 12 . Sadly, his teacup was empty.

“Vanderpump Rules is on pause. Have you heard when and if the show will start filming again,” their reporter asked. Not stopping for a lengthy conversation, James glanced over his shoulder to show that he was engaging, replying, “Soon. Hopefully soon. I’m not sure though,” he admitted.

Shocked, this reporter asked, “They haven’t told you anything yet?” James answered with humor, as always, joking, “No, no. They are keeping me out of the loop.” Digging deeper, as James continued walking away, their next question centered around the possibility of a canceled series, asking, “Is it over?”

“It’s not over ’til it’s over,” James quipped. Realizing that this man had zero answers (or was told to share zero answers), this street interviewer switched gears. They asked James about Ariana Madix . Finally turning around, James had only positive things to say.

“She’s killing it. I just got back from New York. I saw her play in Chicago. It was amazing. She killed it,” James stressed, adding that he was “super proud” of his friend.

He also wants people to come to his shows. So, get your shoes on and go. Vanderpump Rules Season 12 remains a far-off reality (for now).

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
