The legendary actor Alec Baldwin doesn’t seem to have the chops for reality TV. It is clear that the Hollywood A-lister was taking his role as a reality TV star seriously. It didn’t go unnoticed that he brought an entire film crew to his manslaughter trial. While Alec might think cameras following him every day is a great setup, most fans would argue that the whole setup is distasteful.

According to Radar Online , the 30 Rock actor does not understand the concept of reality TV. In fact, he’s getting on everyone’s “last nerve.” A crew member close to the series shared that “Alec thinks he’s filming a movie, not a cheap reality show.” It sounds like he can take some pointers from the Real Housewives franchise. The insider said, “He doesn’t seem to understand there is no script or lines for him to learn.”

That source also claimed that Alec is as “arrogant as ever” on the set of The Baldwins . The insider shared, “The problem with Alec is he thinks he knows best, on everything from storylines to the camera angles to the lighting. It’s a disaster!” The outlet reported earlier that Alec’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin , was the one who pushed for the TV show.

At the time of Hilaria’s insistence, Alec was still knee-deep in a legal battle as he faced involuntary manslaughter charges over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The director was killed on the set of Rust when a prop gun fired a live round. In July, a New Mexico judge threw out the involuntary manslaughter case and said it cannot be filed again.

The source claimed that Hilaria wanted to “turn herself and her family into superstars. Hilaria’s fascinated with the spotlight. And wants to turn herself and her family into superstars and not just through association with Alec.”

That same source added, “He’s doing the show but with a heavy heart, and Hilaria’s not giving him much of an option.” I doubt Alec will like being judged in the court of public opinion.
