Witney Carson Making Surprise DWTS Return for Season 33

Witney Carson will be back on the dancefloor for Dancing with the Stars Season 33! As Witney’s fans may know, the pro bowed out of the show after Season 31. That year, Witney finished in third place alongside her partner, Wayne Brady.

However, her placement had nothing to do with her choice to take a break from the show. She told outlets at the time that she was simply seeking some stability and wanted to put her family first. As it turned out, she was also expecting her next child.

Now, it would seem that Witney is confident in her ability to balance life on the show and life with family.

Whitney teases her partner: “You guys are going to die”

On August 29, Witney and the official DWTS account shared a video with their followers. “Hey guys!” Witney said enthusiastically. “I am back on Dancing with the Stars and I cannot wait to get back on that dancefloor. Just you wait until you meet my partner,” she teased. “You guys are going to die.” The video ended there, leaving fans to speculate.

Notably, it looked as though Witney filmed the video from inside DWTS’ practice studios. Among the comments, the DWTS account welcomed Witney back, saying they “can’t wait to see you back.” The account also confirmed they would reveal “the entire cast and pairings for the new season next Wednesday,” September 4 on Good Morning America.

Other commenters flooded the post with support. Lindsay Arnold and her sister, Riley Arnold, both expressed their excitement with a series of heart-eyed emojis. Julieanne Hough wrote, “So happy to have you back.” And these were just a few of the pros and stars pouring out their excitement. That’s not to mention the numerous fans who shared the love as well.

Dancing with the Stars Season 33 hits ABC and Disney+ on September 17.
