Lindsay Hubbard Got ‘Emotional’ Reflecting on Anniversary of Carl Radke Split

Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard’s life has changed dramatically over the past year. As you may recall, her co-star, and former fiancé, Carl Radke , broke off their engagement. However, their wedding date was just over a couple of months away, and he dumped her on camera. Ouch! Now Lindsay is recalling the day that Carl broke up with her. And today, her life is better than ever.

Both Lindsay and Carl are filming Season 9 of Summer House, and it is awkward. She also shared that “ there’s a little drama ” between the former couple. Well, duh.

Plus, Lindsay found love again with Dr. Turner Kufe, and she announced her pregnancy in July 2024. “The one year anniversary of my breakup is on Friday, and I actually got emotional,” Lindsay told US Weekly , “because I was writing down what I’ve done since that breakup and I went month by month. And then I got emotional about where I was today, a year later.” The mom-to-be added that she “just felt really proud” about how she navigated that difficult time.

Lindsay continued, “I really hope that I can be the example for women or anyone who goes through a really tough time [or] has a really tough breakup and then manages to focus on myself and the things that I’ve always wanted, and my individual, personal goals and successes.”

After her break up with Carl, Lindsay wasn’t sure if she would experience motherhood. “I’ve always wanted to experience motherhood, and it doesn’t have to be in order … I could never have predicted that this past year would conclude with me being pregnant and entering into my third trimester and giving birth at the end of this year,” Lindsay explained.

And she believes that destiny is guiding her life. “And as cliche as it is, trust that everything happens for a reason and that the universe has a bigger plan,” Lindsay stated. “I’m happy and giggly because I’m finally with a partner who allows me to be soft.” Well, that was a jab at Carl. It’s great that these exes will be petty while filming the upcoming season.
