After paying their contractor a deposit and multiple progress payments, their earnest funds went toward everything but their house. They lost a lot of money, including a second batch of funds, which they used to rectify the mess their original builder left them in. The details of what our beloved Below Deck Mediterranean captain and her songstress bride endured are horrific, yet sadly all too common, especially in Florida.

Stomach-churning new details have dropped regarding the case against Spencer Calvert, the bullsh*t builder in question. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, a copy of the investigator’s report is now public. This report shows that Spencer embezzled $2,238,409 of his client’s funds. In addition, he also owes a dozen subcontractors $1,387,772.

Speaking to EW, Leah described their builder’s alleged crimes as “disgusting.” They used their “life savings” to build their home in Nocatee, Florida. Unfortunately, their savings went towards helping Spencer live his best life while their house sat unfinished.

This report shocked Leah. Spencer used his client’s funds to purchase items like Jacksonville Jaguars tickets. “$19,000 on Jags tickets? It was unbelievable,” she said.

To do this, Spencer disguised his withdrawn client funds as shareholder loans. He also labeled personal credit card reimbursements as business expenses, including his mortgage, and he even paid himself a whopping $700,000 salary because he sucks. Once his clients began receiving notices of liens, his actions were clear. His fate now lies in the hands of the FBI and the State.
