Meredith Marks Teases Dynamic With Lisa Barlow in RHOSLC Season 5

Season 5 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres on September 18. In preparation for the new season, Meredith Marks sat down with ExtraTV to talk about what we might expect.

According to Meredith, viewers should expect “a lot of conflicts, a lot of drama, ups and downs, a lot of reconciliations, and failed reconciliations.”

So, same old same old then. As Meredith added, “It’s kind of par for the course with my group of women.”

A “new beginning” with Lisa Barlow

As a group, “we all think differently,” Meredith said. “Some people are offended by things that others can’t even understand … It’s just ripe for conflict.”

Even though, with a twinkle in her eye, she calls herself “the rational, reasonable one,” Meredith admits that everyone sees things differently.

Moving on, the conversation turned to her relationship with castmate and longtime friend Lisa Barlow . Meredith and Lisa were friends for nearly a decade before joining the cast of RHOSLC. But their friendship was shattered when Lisa got caught on a hot mic in Season 2 saying Meredith is a “f*cking whore” and claiming that she has slept with “half of New York.”

The boutique owner then mentioned that she and her husband, Seth Marks , are in a “new relationship” after weathering some challenges over the years. Who doesn’t?

“I could say the same for my friendship with Lisa,” she added. “It’s a new beginning, a different friendship.”

When pressed for details, the Meredith Marks Caviar owner elaborated, “I’m not gonna tell you where it all lands … but you can see that we’re starting off on a different foot. I think there had been a lot of misunderstandings between us … There [were] definitely problems.”

“Some of the other women … don’t really want us to be friends,” she shared. “There’s been a lot of gas poured on the fire.” At some point, she realized that some of the other women in their group had “ulterior motives.”

But as far as her friendship with Lisa goes, “It’s good,” she concluded. “You’ll see where we land.”

Season 5 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres September 18 at 9/8c on Bravo.
