Why Lala Kent Chose To Encapsulate Placenta After Second Daughter’s Birth

Lala Kent is serious about motherhood. The Vanderpump Rules star emotionally told Lisa Vanderpump how much she loved being a mother last season on the hit reality TV show. And the new addition to her family, Sosa Kent, has been very blessed and welcomed.

Lala embraces all sides of raising children, including some of the quirky trends. Most recently, she shared with followers her decision to effectively ingest her placenta. The argument for encapsulating placentas is based on scientific research, and the Bravolebrity explained it on her platform.

Ingesting placenta helped Lala Kent “adjust into postpartum”

The Give Them Lala podcast host gave birth on September 3, but only revealed her child’s name on September 9 with an Instagram post featuring a black-and-white photo of the baby’s feet.

Two days later, the mom-of-two shared a photo of a pill bottle. Lala included the name of the company that converted her placenta into pill form. She wrote an explanation as to why she did it again after the birth of her elder daughter, Ocean.

“I’ve spoken about encapsulating my placenta after I gave birth to Ocean,” she shared. “I felt it helped me adjust into postpartum, and leveled my overall mood.”

“I did it again with Sosa, and I’m having the exact same experience. This isn’t to open the ‘do it — don’t do it’ conversation. It’s simply to share my personal thoughts and experiences,” she added.

Lala’s social media has been family-focused this past week. In another post to Instagram Stories, she shared Ocean’s first interactions with Sosa.

“Ocean’s selfies after meeting Sosa…,” the VPR veteran said of the sweet images.

A subsequent black screen read, “For real though, Ocean is absolutely obsessed with Sosa. It was love at first sight.”

Lala continued, “We are all over the moon about the newest addition to our pod. I can’t wait to share all the moments of this new chapter and blessing in our life. I’ve been enjoying every second. Lots of skin to skin, lots of boobie time, lots of staring & thanking God.”
