Katie Ginella Leaning on Sutton Stracke for Support Since RHOC Debut

Katie Ginella has been navigating through her freshman season of Real Housewives of Orange County with as much finesse as a bull in a china shop. It’s been a rough season, but the RHOC newbie has a steadfast ally in Sutton Stracke .

Sutton was one of many Real Housewives that advised Katie not to get involved in Heather Dubrow’s Disneygate drama. Instead, Katie reached out to a friend, who is a higher-up in the paparrazzi world, and confronted her new co-star with alleged proof that she called paps to catch her and Terry Dubrow in an embrace.

Despite going against the advice of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Katie still has a strong ally in her friend from RHOBH.

Sutton Stracke is “still very supportive” despite Katie Ginella not taking her advice

A fan question on Watch What Happens Live had Katie answering what her current status with Sutton is.

“What has your friend Sutton’s reaction been to your first season on the show, especially since she told you not to go against Heather?” a viewer asked.

“Sutton has been extremely supportive, and she’s just like, she was talking me through a lot of things,” Katie revealed.

Heather isn’t the only cast mate who has turned on Katie. Gina Kirschenheiter is at odds with her over Disneygate as well. At least Sutton is a steadfast friend, which might be easier since she’s not on the same show.

“She would call me when we were filming, ‘How are you doing? What do you want to talk through?’ She’s been extremely supportive. And she knows that I went against Heather, and she advised me not to. But she’s still very supportive,” Katie added.

It’s a necessary friendship for Katie, who is seemingly floundering in her premiere season. She seems to make one unnecessary mistake after another. While trying to speak to Heather in the most recent episode, she came to the conversation without an apology. Heather wasn’t interested.

As such, nothing was resolved and Katie felt unheard. It feels like that conflict will rear its ugly head again.
