Report: MDLLA’s Josh Flagg Agrees Settlement Ahead of Fraud Trial

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles just wrapped Season 15, but the drama continues. Josh Flagg has found himself in the thick of it with accusations of alleged fraud from one of his employees. Some would say all’s fair in love and real estate, but Flagg likes to project himself as someone with a sense of decorum, which is why this lawsuit seems out of left field. Still, Flagg has settled ahead of trial. But what exactly was he accused of?

Josh Flagg denies “all allegations of wrongdoing” in the lawsuit filed against him

Flagg is known for his love of historic houses and his bevy of famous friends. He even had his bestie Denise Richards show up in a video to help sell one of his listings. He’s also known for sticking to his guns, even if it means going to war with a client. And Flagg always keeps his cool, which will be necessary to get him out of the hot mess he’s in now.

In Touch Weekly reported the details of the lawsuit. Brenton Davis “filed suit in March 2023” against Flagg for “fraud and breach of contract.” He claimed, “Josh told him he could find expired real estate listings … and he could use “Flagg’s name” to contact the owners, and Brenton would share 50 percent of any commissions obtained from sales.”

Brenton alleges he found an expired condo listing for $5.29 million. He then “spoke to the owners and then introduced them to Josh. Josh ended up as the listing agent for the condo. The home was sold for $4.8 million.” Brenton then alleged, “Josh never paid him the promised commission.”

Flagg said not today. He “denied all allegations of wrongdoing.” Flagg also said Brenton was “not entitled to accept any compensation for the listing” because it “would have been a violation” since he was not a licensed broker. However, the two came to an agreement that “conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms.”

Ultimately, Flagg has to “pay Brenton a total of $30,000.” Not much seems to phase Flagg, but he’s got his new man to comfort him if he needs it.
