Lisa Barlow Breaks Down Over Son’s Health Issues on Mission Trip

Fans will see Lisa Barlow as emotional as ever in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 3. As viewers may know, Lisa’s son, Jack, is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the Mormon Church as it’s often called.

Jack was sent to Colombia to fulfill his missionary service. Lisa’s followers know that Jack came home from his mission for a brief stretch due to some health concerns . Lisa was all too happy to see her boy. Of course, the health concerns came with plenty of problems too.

Lisa Barlow calls herself a “f*cking mess” over her son’s health

On September 30, Bravo put out a preview clip of the upcoming RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 3. In the clip, as the cast sat down for a meal, Lisa received questions about Jack. She almost immediately became emotional. “Health-wise, he’s like, fledgling a little bit,” Lisa admitted. “I don’t want to get emotional. He loves …” Lisa couldn’t finish the sentence.

“I can’t talk about it,” she said in a shaky voice. “He’s just having some health problems.” The group shared their sincerest sympathies. In a confessional, Lisa explained, “Jack has been on his mission in Colombia for about eight months, and in the middle of the night Jack woke up and he had the worst pain in his stomach. He was like, ‘Is it my appendix? What’s going on with me?’ And he couldn’t even stand up.”

She continued, “As a mom, it’s like the worst thing to know your kid isn’t doing well and you’re not there.” While Lisa could potentially visit her son in a case such as this, Jack said he didn’t want that. “I was resolute in the fact that I was going to Colombia, but Jack said, ‘No. I don’t want you coming. I will figure this out by myself.” Lisa said she was a “f*cking mess” over Jack’s situation.
