Brittany Cartwright Says Jax Taylor Is a ‘Terrible Husband’ but a ‘Great Father’

There’s something positive to be said about Jax Taylor as a father. And that’s from the mouth of Brittany Cartwright , the mother of their three-year-old son Cruz. So while few are surprised that The Valley star filed for divorce in August, some credit has to be given to Jax as a parent.

Brittany and the self-proclaimed narcissist announced their separation in February. Jax checked into a mental health facility . It was a decision that he credited to bettering himself for Cruz. So perhaps there is something to Brittany’s praise of her estranged husband.

Brittany Cartwright admitted that she and Jax Taylor are in “that angry phase”

“[Jax] is a great father. He’s just a terrible husband, so I’d never want to take Cruz away from him or anything like that,” Brittany told Life & Style . “I still always, no matter what, want him to be in his life.”

It’s an interesting statement, given that The Valley stars are new into their divorce. Just this week, Jax agreed to give Brittany full custody of Cruz.

“You know we’re working on it right now, things are very raw between us, so we’re still kind of in that angry phase,” Brittany admitted. “But we’re trying and trying and trying and trying to get better every single day, but if I needed something, Jax would be there for me, and he would be there for Cruz in a heartbeat.”

According to the Kentucky native, Jax is a “great guy.” Hopefully they can work through their divorce in a healthy manner for Cruz’s sake.

“There’s just some things that we gotta work out between us,” Brittany shared.
