Karen Huger Found RHOP Season 9 Premiere ‘Painful To Watch,’ Hurt by Castmates

Season 9 of Real Housewives of Potomac kicked off shortly after Karen Huger’s DUI. At first, the Grande Dame claimed that she crashed her Maserati because she was crying. Unfortunately for Karen, the police reached a different conclusion. In the end, she was charged with DUI.

Karen Huger calls reliving her DUI “painful”

Shortly after her arrest, Karen discussed her DUI and filming RHOP. “First of all, I came from a place of gratitude ,” Karen stated. “I was glad that no one was hurt. No one else was involved,” she added. “I was grateful to be alive, and I’m still in that place of gratitude.”

Of course, everyone wanted the tea about Karen’s DUI. Ashley Darby was worried because this was reportedly Karen’s second DUI. That fact still shocks me. And while Karen was staying tight-lipped, the ladies were gossiping at Karen’s “hattitude” birthday lunch. For some reason, Jacqueline Blake claimed that Karen called her and that she sounded “tipsy.”

Recently, Karen was a guest on Watch What Happens Live . Host Andy Cohen lost zero time diving in. “We were just talking backstage, and I know you just saw the episode for the first time. And I know it was a rough watch for you,” Andy said. “Was there something specific … did it just take you back to that time? Or was there anything said that upset you?”

So, Karen discussed the reenactment which opened the Season 9 RHOP premiere. “It took me back to that time and it’s still ongoing. And it just was so painful to watch it because I lived through it and it was very eerily close to it except for the deer,” Karen explained. “No deer.”

Karen fired back at Ashley and Jacqueline

But Andy isn’t a quitter. “And did anything the women said on camera upset you?” he asked. “Absolutely. Absolutely,” the Grande Dame said. “I mean, you know, I care for these women and all I wanted them to do was be patient and wait because it’s an ongoing case.”

She continued, “But, you know, Ashley saying what she said, and let’s be clear. Ashley needs to be concerned about her relationship with alcohol. The way she sucks down the Coronas, I’m just saying,” Karen added. Wow. Karen’s deflection skills are strong .

“And then, you know, Jacqueline … I don’t know Jacqueline like that so I would never call a friend of. I would call Gizzy [ Gizelle Bryant ], okay?” she added. “It’s just very painful and no one … again, it’s still going on.”

Then Andy asked Karen if the legal issues had “been settled?” Karen responded, “No. That is what I’m saying. It’s very painful to listen to that, you know?”

She continued, “And their accusations. Are you wishing me harm? Honestly, I’m hoping to win when it all comes out but I have to respect the law but when I can speak about it, I plan to be open and transparent,” Karen added.

So, is Karen not taking responsibility because she feels that she will be vindicated in the legal issues? Maybe we will learn more as Season 9 of Potomac rolls on.
