Luann de Lesseps Says Joel Kim Booster Apologized To Love Hotel Cast After Shannon Beador Rant

Lower your pitchforks, Shannon Beador fans. According to Luann de Lesseps , Joel Kim Booster has apologized to the entire Love Hotel cast for his shocking Instagram rant where he called Shannon a “pathetic drunk.”

Countess Lu spoke about the messy situation during an appearance on Melissa Gorga’s podcast. Although Luann initially tried to stay tight-lipped about the drama, she opened up about the behind-the-scenes dynamic between Joel and Shannon. Now, it sounds like there’s much more to this story.

Forgiven but not forgotten

Obviously, there is no denying that Joel going after Shannon was wildly unprofessional. In his rant, he attacked the Real Housewives of Orange County star for her “failed relationships” and her DUI. Most shockingly, he wrote, “I hope she suffers.”

Despite the cruelty, Luann explained on Podcast One’s “On Display with Melissa Gorga” that she could empathize with Joel making such a public mistake. After all, hers were aired on Real Housewives of New York for years. She said he probably woke up the next morning and thought, “Oh sh-t. What did I do?”

Interestingly, Luann also shot down Joel’s claims that Shannon treated people poorly on set. She said they didn’t have any “tension” behind the scenes, so the rant was just as much of a surprise to her as it was for everybody else.

“It’s so crazy because I didn’t notice that at all,” Luann recalled.

According to Luann, Joel wound up reaching out to the entire Love Hotel cast and apologized for his rant. She predicted that the whole situation could be “forgotten,” while also acknowledging Shannon’s side of it.

“I feel bad for Shannon. You know he mentioned her children. Not cool” Luann noted.

“I know that people make mistakes. He acted out, and then it was too late to take it back,” she continued. “God knows we’ve all done that.”
