“Her fighting John’s battles is disturbing to me,” Teddi adds. Alexis’s efforts to clear John’s reputation from accusations of body-shaming Shannon, “coaching” her for filming, and taking advantage of her bank account have rubbed viewers the wrong way .
Despite involving himself in RHOC, John also claimed he never wanted to be in the public eye. Is it just a coincidence that both his former and current girlfriend are cast members on the same show? Is the dating pool in Orange County really that small? Teddi’s not buying it.
“John saying he doesn’t want to be in the limelight … is complete and utter bullsh*t,” the personal trainer continues. “If you don’t want to be a part of something, you’re not a part of it … You don’t want to be famous? Don’t date two girls in the public eye.”
“As a man on any Housewives show, when you are trying to get your point across and [filming] confessionals, it never lands right,” adds Tamra. Her husband, Eddie Judge , is known for letting the ladies handle their own business.
“My advice to any man is [to] just be quiet,” she continues. “Take notes from Eddie. He does not want to get involved.”
Alexis’s aggressiveness toward Shannon is not a good look
Though Tamra insists Alexis is “ sweet, kind, and good ,” she just doesn’t come across that way as she’s kicking poor Shannon when she’s down.
“The whole John of it all is … where it gets all kind of messy,” she admits. “It’s really a no-win situation. Alexis [is] dating Shannon’s ex-boyfriend.”
Admittedly, Alexis came in hot at the beginning of the season by screaming at Shannon, “There’s the door, Shannon Beador!” But Teddi doesn’t think it’s too late for Alexis to turn things around with the viewers.
“She could win by saying, ’Shannon, I’m really sorry. I can imagine how bad this is freaking hurting you,’” says the mom of three.
“We all went to a concert together,” the accountability coach shares. “Alexis was fun, she was self-deprecating, I enjoyed her … But what I’m watching is a different Alexis, and [she’s] so unable to see [herself and] the things that she’s doing. That’s hard for me to watch.”
