Northern Wyoming plane crash causes fatalities, sparks wildfire
GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — A plane crash in a remote area of northeastern Wyoming caused an unspecified number of fatalities and sparked a wildfire, authorities said Friday. The plane crashed at about 1 p.m. north of the town of Gillette near the Wyoming state line, Campbell County officials said in a social media post. The number of fatalities was not immediately released.

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Bureau of Land Management’s efforts to control horse populations in the North Lander Complex is complete, with 2,577 total horses rounded up. According to a BLM Facebook post, the creatures were gathered from BLM-managed public lands and adjacent private lands where they had moved outside of the complex.

Late Wednesday evening, a Saratoga Police Officer attempted to stop a green and gold Subaru Outback for speeding in town. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Saratoga resident Ayden Lecureux, refused to stop for the police officer and attempted to flee. Lecureux reached speeds of 60 miles an hour in town as he fled south along Highway 130.
