Numerous Kent businesses a part of Putt Around Downtown

On Saturday, June 15, downtown Kent will take the shape of a putt-putt golf course for the Putt Around Downtown event, sponsored by Portage Community Bank and Brimfield Insurance Group. Main Street Kent is hosting this popular, family-friendly event where businesses create a special putt-putt golf hole for participants to play.

Ticket holders will check in at Bricco, 210 S. Depeyster St., between noon and 3 p.m., then play putt-putt at their leisure from noon to 5 p.m. Each participant will receive a commemorative black squirrel golf ball, score card/course map, and drink ticket; choose from a special drink menu including non-alcoholic options. The ticket is only valid at Bricco during the event.

Guests are invited to bring their own putters, or putters will be available to use at each hole. Tickets are $15 per person, and are available at https://ticketstripe.com/events/9023105231163173.

The course will be situated within Kent's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, so adult beverages may be purchased at downtown bars/restaurants/breweries for outdoor consumption. The course will be set up at Bar Lucci, Barrio, Belleria Pizza & Italian, Bent Tree Coffee, Branded in Kent, Bricco, Daisy Pops, Flourish Plant Mkt., Hometown Bank, Jasons’ Barbershop, Kent Cycle, Kent State Hotel, North Water Brewing Co., Off the Wagon, Open Arms Adoptions, Salon NeXt, State Champs, Sun in Leo and Tiger Rae Boutique.

When finished playing, guests are invited to vote online for their favorite putt-putt hole. All who vote will be entered in a drawing to win one of 10 $25 Kent Cards, and the winning business will receive a free one-year membership as a Friend of Main Street Kent.
