Portage park to host ice cream social in Ravenna

The Portage Park District Foundation plans an ice cream social on Aug. 25.

The event, which showcases the parks' mascot Owlbert, will run 1 to 4 p.m. at Dix Park, 7318 State Route 14 in Ravenna.

All children in attendance will receive a free treat, from an assortment of ice cream cones, popsicles, ice cream bars and ice cream cups.

Attendees will be able to explroe the natural play area and story trail. The event also will include photo opportunities, coloring activities and bubble fun.
