Streetsboro football shut out its fourth straight opponent with Friday's 42-0 victory over Woodridge.

The Rockets (7-0, 4-0 Metro Athletic Conference) got off to a fast start, scoring on their opening possession, capped by a Cohen Klimak rushing touchdown. The quarterback scored again minutes later to push Streetsboro's lead to 14-0 with star running back Marcus Council notching the next two touchdowns. Jackson Gula and Council also had an interception apiece.

    Aurora 45, Tallmadge 14

The undefeated Greenmen immediately took control with three first-quarter touchdowns en route to a 38-0 halftime lead.

Ryan Dwyer got Aurora (7-0, 4-0 Suburban American) going with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Quincy John just 75 seconds into the game. Lucas Manderbach (11 carries, 83 yards) added two touchdown runs before the opening quarter was complete.

Dwyer (9-of-13 passing, 113 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT) later found Ben Lukasik from 10 yards out, with Tommy Tartabini adding a touchdown run and Colin Dockman hitting a 27-yard field goal.

Ryan Loveless got Tallmadge on the board with a touchdown pass in the third quarter, then added another in the fourth, before Aurora's Xavier Board capped the scoring with a 46-yard touchdown run.

    Southeast 22, Champion 16

Down 6-0 after a quarter, the Pirates plunged ahead for good behind back-to-back touchdowns by Bryer Pickana. Pickana added a 77-yard touchdown run seconds into the fourth as Southeast pushed its lead to 22-8, which came in handy when Champion connected on a deep ball seconds later. Pickana had a monstrous night, with 26 carries for 212 yards and three touchdowns.

Southeast (3-4, 2-2 MVAC Grey Tier) also had a strong night defensively, limiting Champion to 3.3 yards per carry and 1-of-10 passing.

    Warren JFK 20, Rootstown 14

The Rovers hung tight with the one-loss Eagles, sparked by their impressive ground game.

Rootstown (3-4, 1-1 Portage Trail Conference) ran for 262 yards (on 6.2 per carry) against JFK, led by Damien Reuting (22 carries, 158 yards, TD) and Nick Malek (9 carries, 88 yards).

Freddy Bolchalk scored all three JFK touchdowns with a pair of 1-yard TD runs and a 66-yard TD pass to Marcus Komora. The long ball to Komora was pivotal as it came with Rootstown holding a 7-6 lead with just six seconds remaining in the third quarter. That long pass gave the Eagles (6-1, 2-0) a 13-7 lead and they pushed that advantage to two scores barely a minute into the fourth.

Canton Central Catholic 23, Mogadore 14

Senior Conner Thomas scored on two 3-yard runs to lead the Crusaders (3-4) to a win at Mogadore. Axel Estrada broke a 14-14 tie in the second quarter with a 29-yard field goal.

    Highland 56, Kent Roosevelt 7

Casey Myser scored four touchdowns, three rushing and one receiving, to keep Highland (7-0, 4-0) undefeated in Suburban League American Conference action.
