Borough officials in Red Bank say the sewar main break that caused discharge into the Navesink River last week has been repaired. Officials say the state Department of Environmental Protection gave the all clear after thousands of gallons of raw sewage spilled into the river and into nearby storm drains after a contractor hit a sewer main. The main was fixed Friday but the agency still advised against swimming and eating shellfish from the water until the test results came in.

No advisories exist at this time for the Navesink River due to the repaired sewer main break, officials say. "
