ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — A Red Springs woman was arrested Wednesday night, hours after Robeson County deputies say she shot a man in the early morning hours.

Heather Lynn Talley, 37, is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a secure bond, charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 21-year-old Nicholas Jones, of Shannon.

Authorities were sent to the 300 block of Dixie Drive outside of Red Springs just after midnight on Wednesday.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said Jones sustained a gunshot wound upon their arrival.
