A new gastropub-style restaurant planned in Redding has been steadily making progress. Pipeline Redding, a sister concept of the beloved Pipeline Craft Taps & Kitchen in Mount Shasta , is anticipated to join Bell Plaza . The new restaurant will occupy a historic two-story building that has been in the area since 1908. The story was first seen on Record Searchlight .

Co-owners Kevin Flynn and Mark Clure are hoping to open Pipeline Redding by this winter. Having opened the original Pipeline location in Mount Shasta in 2019, the pair have always been interested in expanding their footsteps to Redding. Flynn told Record Searchlight that the Redding location will be “a mirror image” of Pipeline Craft Taps & Kitchen in Mount Shasta.

Bell Plaza is a downtown Redding revitalization project spearheaded by The McConnell Foundation . The project is anchored by Shasta Bike Depot and the gastropub-style restaurant, Pipeline, both sharing a public courtyard.

“The McConnell Foundation’s Bell Plaza project is located on the corner of Shasta and California streets in downtown Redding. Acquiring the former Bell Rooms and transforming this space is part of the Foundation’s 10 year commitment to community vitality and downtown revitalization..” The McConnell Foundation explained in a press release .

What Now Sacramento reached out to Flynn with a request for comments, but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
