Redding Fire Department crews were working on a house fire on Rivella Drive in south Redding on Thursday night. An ambulance was called to the scene for a burn victim, but the severity of the injuries were not known.

The fire was first reported shortly after 7 p.m. in the area of Rivella Drive and Dove Street, according to emergency scanner traffic. People living at the home told emergency dispatchers that a table was on fire in the house and they were able to get out of the residence, but at least two pets were still inside the home.

A battalion chief at the scene of the fire reported moderate smoke coming from the residence. By 7:20 p.m., the battalion chief said the fire was knocked down.
