The 76th annual Redding Rodeo hosts its second evening of cowboy and cowgirl competitions and demonstrations on Thursday.

Thursday is family night, with a program of acts to entertain all ages, according to the Redding Rodeo Association.

A highlight of this and every evening is the nightly junior cowboys’ and cowgirls’ Mutton Bustin' competition. Twelve children from the North State and beyond demonstrate their sheep riding skills in the rodeo arena.

The program also includes the second night of bull riding and barrel racing competitions, trick riding performances and other acts.

Events start at 7 p.m. at the rodeo grounds, 715 Auditorium Drive, next to the Redding Civic Auditorium. Gates open at 5 p.m.
