A Modoc County teenager wanted in a shooting late last week that left two men dead and three other people injured in Redding also is wanted for an alleged shooting that happened last spring in Oregon, according to police.

Redding police Capt. Brian Cole told the Record Searchlight that detectives have learned that Andrew Greer-Herrera, 19, of Lookout, is wanted for attempted murder in May at a McDonald’s in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

“He attempted to shoot two individuals at the McDonald’s, in the parking lot, not inside the restaurant,” Cole said.

Cole said Redding police are working with Oregon State Police and Klamath Falls police. “At this point we believe Mr. Greer-Herrera is not in the Redding area,” he said.

Secret Witness of Shasta County is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Greer-Herrera. To give your tip anonymously call 530-243-2319 or go to www.scsecretwitness.com/submit-a-tip

On Sunday, police in Sparks, Nevada, arrested Trevor Evanoff, 18, for his alleged role in the Friday morning shooting in south Redding . Evanoff is being held without bail for a charge of murder in the Washoe County Jail.

Cole did not know when Evanoff will be extradited to Shasta County.

Around 2:45 a.m. last Friday, two men were killed and three others were injured in the shooting, which took place near the Westwood Village shopping center in Redding.

Police said the three injured adults, two women and one man, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. Two of the victims were treated and released from the hospital while one female adult victim remained hospitalized, police said Saturday.

Cole said it was not a random shooting. “It sounds like this group of individuals were meeting up and it escalated into a gun being pulled out and shots being fired,” Cole said.

The deceased individuals' identities are being withheld pending notification of family, the Redding Police Department's statement said.

Meanwhile, Evanoff was arrested last March in Redding in connection to an alleged shooting that occurred at the Jack in the Box drive-thru on East Cypress Avenue. Police said nobody was injured in the incident, which happened around 3 a.m.

Evanoff was arrested on suspicion of gross negligent discharge of a firearm in a public place and other gun-related charges, police said.

Cole said Evanhoff was bailed out of jail, but he did not know the status of that case.

Anyone with information regarding the Oct. 4 shooting in Redding is encouraged to call the Redding Police Department Detective Division at 530-225-4214 or contact Shasta County Secret Witness at 530-243-2319.
