REDFORD (WWJ) — Police in Redford Township have arrested a man after an apparent barricaded gunman situation Thursday afternoon.

Police officials said early Thursday afternoon they were dealing with a "police situation" on Seminole Street, near 7 Mile and Inkster Roads. It was reportedly a barricaded gunman situation at a home in the area.

Police and SWAT teams were reportedly using a bullhorn to talk with a person inside the home. He was eventually taken into custody around 3 p.m.

While WWJ's Charlie Langton reported from the scene the situation was connected to a domestic violence incident, police have not confirmed any details.

Authorities have not released much information about the situation, including what happened leading up to the barricaded situation or if anyone has been injured.
