    Wild Rose man wins $4.3M Megabucks jackpot, the largest Wisconsin Lottery prize of 2024

    REDGRANITE – A longtime Megabucks player from Waushara County claimed a winning $4.3 million Megabucks ticket last week at the Wisconsin Lottery office.

    Richard Kiesner of Wild Rose has been playing the Megabucks lottery game since the Wisconsin game started in 1992, according to a release from Wisconsin Lottery. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Trip at 549 W. Bannerman Ave. in Redgranite for the July 17 drawing.

    The winning numbers were 6-8-14-26-33-37.

    According to Wisconsin Lottery, the winning ticket is the largest Wisconsin Lottery prize so far in 2024.

    Megabucks is only offered in Wisconsin and is one of Wisconsin Lottery’s longest-running games. Kiesner’s win is the second time in 2024 someone has won the game’s jackpot. A $3.5 million winning Megabucks ticket was sold in Oak Creek in February, according to Wisconsin Lottery.

    Megabucks offers two plays for $1, drawing on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays to be included in those drawings. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 6,991,908, according to Wisconsin Lottery.
