Bend’s June home sales price rises closer to record level, Redmond’s dips a bit; both cities see inventories grow

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -Bend’s median home sales price got closer to a record level in June, while Redmond’s dipped a bit. Both markets saw their inventory rise to 3 ½ months, the highest level in at least three years, according to Thursday’s report from Beacon Appraisal Group.

Bend’s median price rose $22,000 last month, to $775,000, just $25,000 below the record $800,000 figure seen a year earlier. Redmond’s median price fell $6,000 to $534,000, still not far from the city’s peak price of $542,000 reached in August 2022, according to the report, based on Multiple Listing Service figures.

Redmond appraiser Donnie Montagner pointed out that nearly a third (31%) of Bend’s home sales in June were for $1 million or higher.

Montagner also noted that prices have increased slightly in the region’s smaller markets during the second quarter of the year. Those June figures range from $350,000 in Jefferson County to just over $1 million in Sunriver. Inventories range from 3 ½ months in Crook County to seven months in La Pine.
