NDSU: Be aware of toxic cyanobacteria
Cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, can produce toxins that are harmful to livestock, wildlife and people. In the last week the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality has reported three cyanobacteria blooms on lakes and reservoirs in the state.
